Book Binding

Power to the people! Book binding is a powerful art - as we dive into the history of Japanese stab binding, we will practice making our own books of all shapes and sizes - and yes, it’s a great way to upcycle cool materials like shopping bags, cardboard and more. Then we will move on to ‘zines - tiny DIY magazines that came out of US protest culture. Students will come away with practical knowledge of bookmaking, beautiful journals of their own, and a DIY magazines on subjects they are passionate about!
